Project 2

free the forest

The governments of developing countries find it challenging to make a stand against deforestration as commercial businesses pay taxes that can be used to pay for urgently needed services to support the local population.

This project funds university research projects that estimate the bio-diversity and carbon sink potential of rain forests to be sold as carbon credits to corporates that seek to offset carbon emissions from their operations.

The funds made from selling carbon credits will be used to replace tax revenues that government receive from commercial interests causing deforestation.
